macadamia oil
Macadamia nut oil that contains up to 22% palmitoleic acid C16:1. It is the second (after palmitic acid) most important fatty acid found in skin lipids. The similarity of the chemical structure and high content of monounsaturated fatty acids is biocompatible with the skin and manifests excellent lubricating, softening and moisturizing properties. Macadamia oil is highly resistant to rancidity (it offers the so-called oxidative stability). It is used in emulsions intended for any type of skin, mainly dry, atopic, or sensitive. It is also safe and effective in children's skin care.
